At Empowered Midwifery and Wellness LLC, we provide primary care for women from puberty across the lifespan. We love taking a personalized approach to our patients' care. We offer homebirths for those who desire a natural and comfortable birth experience. We provide all necessary equipment and support to ensure the safety of you and your baby. We will also provide prenatal and postpartum care as part of our homebirth package. 

If you have had a previous cesarean birth (c-section) and are hoping for a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), we are here to support you. We will work with you to create a birth plan that takes into account your specific needs and concerns. We will provide education, resources, and emotional support throughout the process.

We offer waterbirths at Empowered Midwifery and Wellness LLC. We provide waterbirth tubs to our clients who desire to labor and/or birth in water. Hydrotherapy can be incredibly helpful for labor and birth. 

Breastfeeding is an important part of your postpartum journey, and we are here to support you every step of the way. We provide education, resources, and hands-on support to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals. Jamie Shelley is an IBCLC and can provide lactation services whether you are one of our homebirth clients or someone who gave birth elsewhere but needs additional support on your breastfeeding journey. 

Ashley has a special interest and additional training in fertility and infertility. She is a FEMM-trained medical provider. If you are struggling to get pregnant, Ashley would love to work with you to find the root cause of your infertility and help you on your journey to starting a family. 

If you are struggling with hormonal imbalances or suspect you are and want to see a provider that will help with checking and balancing hormones, schedule an appointment with Ashley. We can test hormones and understand what your lab results mean. We are also able to help with a holistic and integrative approach to balancing your hormones to support your overall health. 

We can offer customized IV and injection services at our clinic in Alexandria. IV therapy can be helpful for overall wellness, improving your immune system, and supporting your body.  

We offer multiple options for lab work. We work with Rupa Health to be able to provide low-cost labs to our clients. Rupa Health works with multiple laboratories to be able to provide a wide range of functional and wellness labs with upfront pricing. We can do allergy and sensitivity testing, nutrient testing, and so much more. All to be able to help you on your wellness journey! We can also work with local labs to run certain tests through your insurance.  

We offer the SneakPeek Clinical gender test. If you are pregnant and want to find out your baby's gender as early as 6 weeks into your pregnancy, contact us today! 

We have a select variety of vitamins, supplements, homeopathic, and herbal tinctures available at our office. These are available for purchase, you do not have to be our clients to enjoy the products we carry. We also carry the Fresh Test- a glucose alternative for gestational diabetes screening.
